April 28, 2023- Dr Wassermann

Woke up at 6:30am and had my Boost. Slept for another hour. 
Today we go see the medical oncologist, Dr Wasserman. 
Great news. He said  for now looks the target pills are working. The tumour in my
lungs shrunk. The bone cancer is white as opposed to black which means the cancer is slowly dying on the bones. 
I am getting off the seizure pill. 
He can’t tell us whether I will always be tired but it will resolve itself when if it happens. That is one thing he can’t predict. 
One of my lungs looks like I have a pneumonia but he said that was caused by a he residue of the radiation and to let the doctors know that if it ever comes up. 
Worried a bit about my weight but I told him my plan about eating every 2 hours in small portions. He said that sounded like a good plan. All in all he was very happy with progress and will see him on six weeks. 
Now I am exhausted and laying down on the couch.

December 28-29, 2023 - Pain Control

December 28, 2023 12:00am- I was in lots of pain and couldn’t get comfortable especially when I had to keep getting up to go to the bathroom.  The nurse gave me Hydromorphine ( Dilauded ) for pain with a heated blanket. It just calmed me down.  Today crappy feeling day. I brought up and at least I don’t feel pain now. Just as they gave me Zofran and Tylenol, I brought up.  8:00am- Breakfast came but I couldn’t touch it.  I tried to nibble on a few things.  8:30am- They did bloodwork.  10:00am- My sister came to help out with bathing me and stayed until 1:30pm. I was finally pain free and slept for a couple of hours. She stayed until Steve showed up.  Serge, a physio therapist came to do physio and exercises in bed. He showed me tricks of how to get and in and out of bed. Later Paul, another physio therapist showed up to show me how to go up and down the stairs.  Steve brought home some of my wash. January 22, 2024- Blog message

Some of you may be surprised to hear this message. This is not the easiest blog to write. I haven’t blogged publicly lately because I wanted to be surrounded by my family. I updated my blog today.  On January 18, 2024, I was told my lung cancer is spreading and there is nothing they can now due except to keep me comfortable.  My family needed time to digest the news. They have been helping me get through this whole process. Lung cancer or any cancer is a nasty disease.  I have had so many friends and people reach out to support me through prayers and loving thoughts not even knowing what is happening. I just can’t believe the impact I have had on others.  The good news is  knowing I had no regrets and I have lived life to the fullest. My daughter asked if there was something I wanted to do before I transition and I had nothing to say. I am at peace and ready to receive the Lord.  I am going in McNally house in Grimsby where comfort will be given. It will be one place we will donate mon
