(March 27-29, 2023 - Hospital

This is Nicky, Lise’s daughter updating the blog.

She went to the hospital this morning because her weakness got a lot worse.  She has a bladder infection which they are treating.  They will be keeping her overnight (or longer) until she is stronger. Please send prayers her way! 🙏🏻

She was able to eat some dinner at the hospital. They are giving her antibiotics and IV.  

March 28, 2023

My mom had a good night sleep, she has now been moved to a nice room (She was still in ER since they didn’t have any rooms available).  

She ate some breakfast.  She is still very weak, but hopeful the antibiotics are starting to work! 

12:00pm—took my target pill 
2:00pm- Dr Wasserman came and said my symptoms are from the infection and not caused by cancer. 

The nurse put me on a special IV. 
Steve talked to the head nurse practitioner and said the Head MRI had great results. One of the lesion is total gone and the other lesion is hardly there. Great news.  
 
My head feels  so much clearer.  What a difference going from delusion state to feeling myself. 

7;00pm - Took my blood thinner pill. 
Bedtime at 9:00om. 

March 29, 2023

1:00am- Got up to go to the bathroom 

Still hospitalized. Got up at 6:30am.  Slept ok. 

Looks like I will be staying another night.  They have me using a walker now since I’m still unsteady walking.  

My CAT scan results from March 15th shows that one lesion in my brain has gone down from 5mm to 3mm and the other one has resolved!

After dinner they will be moving me to a different room.

December 28-29, 2023 - Pain Control

December 28, 2023 12:00am- I was in lots of pain and couldn’t get comfortable especially when I had to keep getting up to go to the bathroom.  The nurse gave me Hydromorphine ( Dilauded ) for pain with a heated blanket. It just calmed me down.  Today crappy feeling day. I brought up and at least I don’t feel pain now. Just as they gave me Zofran and Tylenol, I brought up.  8:00am- Breakfast came but I couldn’t touch it.  I tried to nibble on a few things.  8:30am- They did bloodwork.  10:00am- My sister came to help out with bathing me and stayed until 1:30pm. I was finally pain free and slept for a couple of hours. She stayed until Steve showed up.  Serge, a physio therapist came to do physio and exercises in bed. He showed me tricks of how to get and in and out of bed. Later Paul, another physio therapist showed up to show me how to go up and down the stairs.  Steve brought home some of my wash. January 22, 2024- Blog message

Some of you may be surprised to hear this message. This is not the easiest blog to write. I haven’t blogged publicly lately because I wanted to be surrounded by my family. I updated my blog today.  On January 18, 2024, I was told my lung cancer is spreading and there is nothing they can now due except to keep me comfortable.  My family needed time to digest the news. They have been helping me get through this whole process. Lung cancer or any cancer is a nasty disease.  I have had so many friends and people reach out to support me through prayers and loving thoughts not even knowing what is happening. I just can’t believe the impact I have had on others.  The good news is  knowing I had no regrets and I have lived life to the fullest. My daughter asked if there was something I wanted to do before I transition and I had nothing to say. I am at peace and ready to receive the Lord.  I am going in McNally house in Grimsby where comfort will be given. It will be one place we will donate mon
